When are you going to print those Christmasy drink recipes? I keep watching. You keep dawdling. Get with it! Mel's Irish cream. In a cold glass blender, blend well: three eggs, one can sweetened condensed milk, one can evaporated milk, 4 tablespoons chocolate syrup, 1 1/4 cup of Old Bushmill's Irish Whisky and a smidgen of almond extract (optional). Blend until smooth, keep capped and chilled and consume within 48 hours. It's good in coffee, over ice, on pistachio ice cream or as a milkshake. Mulled cider. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven combine 1 quart apple cider, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice, two or three (3- inch) cinnamon sticks and six to seven whole cloves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, discard the spices. Serve hot with a fresh cinnamon stick standing in each cup. Serves four.

How to Make The Best Christmas Pudding

Christmas wassail. In a large saucepan combine 1/2 gallon apple cider, 4 cups fresh orange juice, 1/3 cup lemon juice (about 2 lemons worth), 1/2 cup honey, four to five (3-inch) cinnamon sticks and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks. Serves 10.

Ye old wassail. Stud two oranges with 40 whole cloves and in a large kettle, combine 1 gallon apple cider with 2/3 of a (46-ounce) can of pineapple juice and 2/3 of a (6-ounce) can of frozen orange juice concentrate and the juice of two lemons. Add 3/4 box or jar of cinnamon sticks and the cloved oranges. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours before time to serve. Serves 12. 

Legal eggnog. Combine one (12-ounce) chilled can evaporated skim milk, 1 teaspoon rum or brandy extract (or 2 tablespoons of the real stuff) and 4 teaspoons sugar in a medium-sized bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved. In another medium bowl, free of grease and chilled, beat the whites of two large eggs until they hold soft peaks and then fold into the milk mixture. Ladle into chilled glasses and sprinkle with fresh grated nutmeg. Serves four.

Hot spiced tea mix. Combine and stir until evenly mixed 2 cups Tang powder, 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup instant tea, one (0.31-ounce) package unsweetened lemon-flavored drink mix, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon ground cloves. Spoon 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of mix into a cup and fill with boiling water. Makes 32 servings.

Russian tea mix. Combine 1/2 cup instant tea powder, 2 cups Tang, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. Spoon 3 1/2 teaspoons into each cup and fill with boiling water. Makes 32 servings.

Action Line hot chocolate mix. Combine 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar, 2 cups nonfat dry milk powder, 2 cups powdered fat-free nondairy coffee creamer, 2 cups chocolate milk mix, 3/4 cup instant coffee granules and 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon. Add 1/4 cup mix to each mug and fill with boiling water. Makes 32 servings.
