Here are some healthy sandwiches that you can include in your list of diabetes food recipes. They are healthier choices because of the balanced content of nutrients that they have that are good for your body.

1. Grilled Vegetable and Pesto Sandwich

Grill vegetables like eggplant, red bell pepper, and yellow bell pepper. Cut the peppers into thin strips after grilling. Prepare the pesto afterwards. You will also have to grill whole wheat rolls. Spread the pesto on every roll, then put cheese and the grilled vegetables. Put the basil leaves between the sandwiches and heat these on the grill just until the cheese starts to melt.

2. Turkey Ham and Apple Sandwich

Preparing turkey ham and apple sandwich is as easy as 1, 2, and 3. Mix mayonnaise and mustard and spread the combination on each side of raisin bread slices. Fold each turkey ham into four and place on the bread. On top of this, put apple slices and cover with lettuce leaf. Cover this with another slice of bread, and it is now ready for serving!

3. Chicken Sandwiches with Onions and Mushrooms

Lastly, we have this third sandwich that takes longest to prepare. You need to sauté first the onions, mushrooms, and garlic until they are cooked brown.
