The owners of this eclectic little place located in the Citadines building on Soi 23 all have some connection to New York. They either lived and worked there or went to school there and the city served as part of the inspiration to start the restaurant several years ago. They must have channeled some French culture through the process of designing the place too because there is a hint of post-war French decor running through the space as well.
The menu also has a dual nature with mostly American-style dishes like the pastarami sandwich to the right and the miniburgers at the bottom left, but there are also some French infuences here as well including a duck confit, some escargot and also some foie gras.
The items we sampled, which you see here (calamari is at the upper left and the corned beef hash at the bottom right) were all well executed and very tasty. There are a few surprise in the dishes too like the tiny stuffed peppers that added to the pastrami sandwich’s great flavor.
Brunch is an important aspect of the restaurant also and it’s served every day starting at 11 AM. Omelets, Eggs Benedict, pancakes and other items join the corned beef hash on this menu.
Check out this funky little place that seats diners inside and out for good food and a chic decor.
