There’s one thing about a great view: it’s always there and it never changes. Every  thing else in a restaurant can change in one way or another but a great view never goes away and that’s one thing that Zeppelin Bar & Restaurant on the 46th floor of the Le Luk condo building has going for it. It’s not the only thing it has going for it, however, as the food and service are quite good here. The view, though, is spectacular, probably the best in Bangkok when it comes to rooftop dining.
You can see all the way down the river past Bang-na and all the way up the river to the center of the city. Baiyoke Tower is almost directly west and in the distance you can see bridges over the Chao Phraya to the south and southwest. Actually, you can see a complete 360 degrees from the different outdoor seating areas here so you can pick the view you like the best.
And wherever you choose to sit — indoor or out— you’ll enjoy the food and drinks here from a menu that covers a wide variety of international foods including meats, seafood and various pastas like the dish pictured below. At the bottom of the page is a cream of mushroom soup which is very tasty and one of a number of soups that are daily specials.
Other appetizers include pan  fried foie gras, crispy calamari, New Zealand mussels, a salad Nicoise and sauteed garlic prawns.
The main course menu features dishes like pan fried snow fish, crispy skin salmon and seabass from the ocean and Australian ribeye and T-bone steaks along with a rack of lamb and roasted duck breast from the land.
And there’s also a very good wine list with reds and whites from both New and Old World countries and prices that are quite reasonable.
So you might come for the fantastic view but you’ll probably come back because of everything else that’s on offer here.
